Elemental
Chi Kung
Chi Kung
is a Chinese form of movement exercise and meditation to promote the flow of Chi
through the body. Chi is thought to be
the vital energy of the body and through Chi Kung can help establish harmony
both physically and psychologically.
Chi Kung
comprises of slow exercises for mobilising the body and joints, breathing
exercises, and static postures, all with meditation. This provides space for our essential nature
to express itself and grow.
Within
elemental Chi Kung emphasis is placed on the five elements as found within
Chinese medicine and a philosophy based on Taoism.
Michele studied at the College
of Elemental Chi Kung (www.elementalchikung.com) and
continues along her own path of learning and transformation.
Michele is able to offer one to one sessions or small classes of
2 or 3 people for those who wish to join her in this wonderful form of movement
and meditation. As well as the obvious
benefits of meditation in a stressful world and mobilising our joints after
spending too long at desks, in cars or slouched on our settee - there is a huge
postural benefit to our core muscles and an overall gain in assisting a relaxed
mind and body.
